Wines that don’t exist?
We have them…

Ever now and then winemakers just wanna try something new. Play with new methods, experiment with new styles or simply have a fun side project.
The results are often exciting wines in very limited numbers that will never show up in the wineries portfolio. Wines that we secure for you.

Nils Lackner

Hailing from the island of Sylt, Nils Lackner is amongst the most popular German sommeliers and an internationally booked wine/champagne lecturer and keynote speaker.

He takes his audience on a unique journey through the world of wine filled with hedonism and enthusiasm. His passion for the topic is authentic and can be very contagious. Nils Lackner is known for his progressively modern and interactive style. His tastings resemble entertaining stage shows rather than conventional classroom affairs. Radically focussing on the fun side of wine and champagne, Nils loves to leave stereotypes and beaten paths behind. Equipped with champagne saber and decanter, he questions the status quo of traditions and customs thereby exceeding expectations.

When he is not on-stage Nils Lackner is also successfully involved in numerous international wine related ventures. Beside advising financial institutes with topics like „wine as an investment asset“, trading with rarities and consulting wine collectors with their cellars, he also organizes exclusive tastings and culinary events. Furthermore, Nils oversees several wine projects such as launching the new Strandkorb Rosé line, operating a wine tourism agency on his home island and writing a great many articles and columns.

Chris Groger

When wine eventually becomes more than just a hobby…

The first points of contact came at the young age of 18, far away from the well-known wine-growing regions, in the new federal states. Professionally, wine never let me go and at some point it “clicked” and wine became more than just a food companion. I like trying new wines and looking behind the philosophy of the winemaker.

Having landed firmly in Germany after a trip around the wine globe, my heart beats for Riesling and Pinot Noir, as well as for everything sparkling, whether it’s Pet Nat, Winzersekt or Champagne.

In the meantime there were some sommelier jobs and moderations and also some work directly in vineyards and in wine cellars.

WSET Level 3 is nearing completion.
